"I'm a Hero" Activity
Let's get together and learn - by playing, talking, drawing, baking and more! Here Lil' Iguana provides you and your children with fun activities to do and ideas to share.
It is important that your child knows his or her personal information. In this activity you can create,
with your child, a version of your neighborhood so that he or she will know where buildings and places
are in relation to your house.
Collect small cartons and cardboard tubes. Try to find some small cars to use.
- Paint tubes and cartons to look like buildings. Allow to dry.
- Paint roads on a large sheet of bulletin-board paper. If there is a park, lake or railroad, add that as well. Allow to dry overnight.
- Glue the buildings to the base.
- Label the building that is your home with your address. Label any other significant landmark your child knows well.
- Now you are ready to drive toy cars, trucks and busses along the roads.
