"Let's have a Fire Drill!" Role Playing

Draw an escape plan for your home in case there is a fire. Have fire drills to practice the escape plan. Be sure to stress the following to your child:

Directions:

1. Stay calm at all times
2. If smoke begins to fill the room. Cover your mouth with your hand and crawl on the floor.
3. If your clothes catch on fire, remember to STOP, DROP, and ROLL.
4. Nevera door that feels hot.
5. Run to the nearest telephone to report the fire by dialing 911 or O for the operator.
