| On March 18, 1999 Lil' Iguana
Corporation was present with WABU-TV68 to receive the Massachusetts Broadcasters
Association Award for the best children's program for 1998. On June 5, 1999 at the 22nd Annual Boston New England
Emmy Ceremony Jim Tomaszewski - lil' iguana's creator - won an Emmy Award in the
children's television category for graphics and set design for the "Lil' Iguana TV
Show," which airs Saturday's at 8 AM on Ch. 68/WABU.
Lil' Iguana has also won two of the KIDS FIRST!
Endorsements which are given by Coalition for Quality Children's Media. This is a
non-profit organization, which originates in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Its goals are to search
among CD-ROM games and video tapes for products that deliver positive messages to counter
act possible feeling of "boredom, anger, and sadness" which may at times surface
in a child. This attribute is one Lil' Iguana incurs; and for this reason, has won such an
outstanding award.
The "PARENTS' CHOICE APPROVAL AWARD"
was given by the Parents' Choice Foundation a non-profit organization our or Newton,
Massachusetts. The foundation has been honoring producers this award since 1978 for
"strong production values as well as implying solid human values".
